Moving to Dallas? Let Smooth Moves by Design take care of it!

There is so much to see and do in Dallas, why not allow us to take care of your move so that you can spend time getting to know the city and your neighborhood before focusing on your work or settling your kids into their new schools? While we supervise your move, situate your furniture, curate your closets and drawers, set up your kitchen, and luxuriate the beds, you can explore your new neighborhood, check out the best restaurants, locate that important morning cup of coffee, and of course, find the best routes to work or your kids’ schools.

Moving to a new city or state can be daunting, but rest assured, Texans are some of the friendliest folk in the country, and take pride in welcoming newcomers. Although the Dallas metroplex is home to around 7 million people, it has varied and characterful neighborhoods that will help you feel like you belong to a small town within a big city. If you prefer to be amidst the hustle-and-bustle of a city, however, Dallas can offer the experience of a big city dwelling right in the heart of downtown.

With its gleaming high-rises, downtown Dallas offers city living at its finest. Stylish condominiums are intermingled with dazzling office buildings that were designed with the city skyline in mind. Recognizing the appeal of convenience, downtown has been thoughtfully planned to offer fabulous arts destinations, including the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Garden, and the Meyerson Symphony Hall, along with numerous fine dining locations (Dallas is home to award-winning chefs including Kent Rathbun, Misti Norris, and Stephan Pyles).

A popular weekend spot is the beautifully designed Klyde Warren Park in downtown, which offers paths for strolling, entertaining splash foundations, an outdoor stage for all kinds of entertainment both daytime and night, and a variety of restaurants ranging from white table cloth to informal brunch venues. For those who enjoy sampling ethnic cuisine, Klyde Warren Park even offers a wide variety of food trucks from which to sample.

We’d be remiss if we didn’t also mention the wide range of sports venues easily within reach of Dallas. The metroplex is, of course, home to the Dallas Cowboys (their impressive stadium just a 40 minute drive away in Arlington), and right downtown is the American Airlines Center where fans can enjoy games from the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and Dallas Stars hockey team.

Need to keep the kids occupied while we manage your move? Take a trip to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, which hosts a fabulous collection of exhibits ranging from the skeletons of dinosaurs to the history of our universe. Popular favorites are also the Dallas World Aquarium and the Dallas Zoo, the largest zoological park in the great state of Texas!

While Smooth Moves by Design manages your move, you can take the time to explore what this wonderful city has to offer!
